CHEF SANDY MADEWELL
Chef Sandy hails from the beautiful southern state of Nashville, TN.
Growing up she was always surrounded by many great cooks. She remembers that you could always find a pot of beans and corn bread on the stove at her Granny Clemon's house. She was also always in awe of her working mother finding many new dishes for her family's dinner's as to not be boring.
Chef Sandy studied at The French Culinary Institute in New York city where she was blessed to learn from such great's as Master Chef Jacques Pepin and Andre' Soltner as well as Alain Sailhac. Chef Sandy did work as a Personal Chef in Nashville for a country singer/song writer, as well as one of Nashville's well-know business men. She loved New York, so she set out for the big city to master her craft.
Chef Sandy has worked for some of New Yorks best Aqua Grill, Balaboosta, Eatly and BLT Steak, to name a few - before landing her first Executive Chef job at Thistle Hill Tavern in Park Slope. Chef Sandy was then picked out and called on to be the Chef de cusine' for famed Chef Terrance Brennan at his Park Ave French restaurant Artisanal Bistro. While heading up this large restaurant she also was catering to some of New Yorks finest in her spare time, doing private dinner's and Tv Shows along with working the NYCWFF. Chef Sandy also worked on the 2013 Bravo episode of Master Chef with such greats as Chef David Burke, Chef Sang, Chef John Moeller, Chef Sue Zemanick just to name a few.
Chef Sandy then took a leap to move to the island of St. Thomas to cook and see what island living had to offer. While there she gained insight on island life and cuisine' but found her heart belonged the States. She returned to New York, where is got offered the chance to lead the opening of an already successful restaurant in two other states.

This lead to Chef Sandy moving to Nashville during the height of the food explosion in this city. She spent the next five years in Nashville being the part of two very successful hospitality groups while doing her personal and private events on the side.

In 2019 Chef Sandy was brought to Blue Ridge Georgia on a consulting job which would lead her to fall in love with the mountains and the views. She now makes her home here and continues to travel and do private work for many clients as well as her business in Blue Ridge.
